This week we are releasing an alpha version of our new hosting architecture with a ton of new changes and very cool features. More control over everything and soon a whole new control panel and main GearHost site. The alpha release will look like the current control panel but will give you access to the new environment. It will be a skeleton with LIMITED features but we only are releasing a few features to start. The basics. Soon with the BETA we’ll have basically all the features you’ve been wanting. Most notable with the new release however is:
- .NET Core 3.1
- .NET Core 3.0
- .NET Core 2.2
- .NET Core 2.1
- All .NET Core versions will be native so you won’t have to make a self contained deployment
- Node.js 13.1.0 and below versions
- PHP 7.3
- PHP 7.2
- New DNS architecture with full zone and record control
- New DNS CAA record
- Hostname section to replace Domains to make for more custom Hostname/Domain configurations
- DNS seperation from CloudSite module to allow for full DNS management regardless of CloudSite
- Email separation from CloudSite module as it is it’s on feature
- New FTP architecture allowing for multiple FTP users and custom username/password creation
- New File System
- Performance on release is currently about 200X faster (not in % but multiplied)
- Floating/Reserved IPs
As for the control panel there are a ton of new features coming out. This is just a taste.
Please open a support ticket in your control panel if you are interested in getting into the Alpha release.
