Is there a suggested way to do automated daily MySQL backups so I can save them offline (just in case)?

Unfortunately, we don’t provide an automated way to download MySQL backups. We do have a 5 day retention backup period, and do have many API functions at http://api.gearhost.com . Unfortunately, direct download is something we don’t support at the moment.
